Kiefer Sutherland’s day became a bit brighter earlier when the assult charges brought against him (for al
legedly head-butting fashion designer Jack McCollough at a Met Gala after-party in early May.) were dropped by the New York District Attorney.
The District Attorney said in a statement made earlier today that the decision to not prosecute was made after a full investigation that included speaking with uncooperative witnesses. Both parties involved had issued a joint statement that they had resolved the issue just weeks after the initial incident. After the case was dropped today Sutherland’s attorney declined to make any comment.
Since the charges have now been dropped there won’t be any interference with the probation term Sutherland is currently serving out after his DUI conviction in L.A. back in 2007.
